I Am... Corgios aka Corgi Oreos!

Mike and I have been talking about making Corgios (corgi oreos) forever. It all started when I bought a corgi cookie cutter off Etsy. I had it for about two years before I finally made cookies with it, but not the chocolate kind, just gingerbread.

I Am... Thanksgiving Croquettes

I love leftovers because you can eat in basically the amount of time it takes to heat them up. To me, that's magic! But, as much as I love eating leftovers as is, I am absolutely fanatical about making leftovers into new dishes, like these Thanksgiving croquettes.

I Am... Friday Finds 11.25.16

Happy Black Friday Friends! Mike and I are in Japan, traveling around the South so we're missing out on all the Black Friday sales, but I'm not complaining because Japan is my jam and I am in heaven, eating ALL the things. We're going to be here for a while and I could not be more excited. I just love Christmas in Japan. There are countless illuminations, Christmas music everywhere, and festive foods. I am crazy excited. If you guys have any must sees/must eats, please let me know! And thank you, thank you for all your sweet comments on my last post! It warms my heart :) I'm going to reply to everyone, soon!

I Am... Challah Tipsy Cake

This Tipsy Cake is based off of a very famous tipsy cake served at one of my favorite London eateries: Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Mike and I first had lunch at Dinner five(!?!) years ago. We were both slightly obsessed with him, having had some of our first dates in watching his BBC series, In Search of Perfection.

I Am... Classic Yorkshire Puddings

Mike and I have a spare room that we originally intended as an office. There's a row of extremely tall shelves and a wall to wall built in desk. It's pretty nice but we never use it because we like hanging out at our giant kitchen table when we work. So, sadly, the "office" has turned into a spare room where we banish all the things that we want to keep out of sight.

I Am... Crispy Duck Fat Oven Roasted Potatoes

I love potatoes. So much so that sometimes I eat so many that I think I'm going to become one: soft and squishy. I don't really know anyone who doesn't like potatoes, at least in some form or other. And that's the beauty of potatoes, they can be made so many different ways!

I Am... Lemon & Dill Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Mike and I went to watch Arrival the other day. Have you guys seen/heard of it? It's based on a short story and while I really enjoyed it, Mike was a little more, meh. The basic premise, without giving anything away, is that aliens arrive on earth and a linguist needs to figure out how to communicate with them and why they've come to earth. It fits right into my obsession with post apocalyptic/sci-fi type things.

I Am... Turducken Roulade

Here, it's full on Christmas already. The stores are decked out, the Christmas music is playing, and there are already holiday sales. Being that it's only November, it's a long wait to Santa. Mike and I blame the early onslaught of Christmas on the fact that Canada celebrates Thanksgiving a whole month earlier than the US. So, being that we already celebrated Turkey Day (twice because I'm a turkey fiend), I'm happy to share with everyone what we made, just in time for our American friends to plan out what they're doing for the big day.

I Am... Pulses Round Up!

We are in the thick of fall, which means lots of rain and cozy nights in. Basically all I want to do is netflix and eat. That's a thing, right? On the top of my list are foods that are dip-able and eaten with your hands, like miso hummus with crispy onion furikake, black dal and naan, and mini red bean dorayaki!

I Am... Mac and Kimcheese Dolsot Bibim-mac

Mac and cheese will forever be one of my go-to comfort food dishes. There's just something about that creamy combination of cheese and noodles that will always be my favorite food hug. I love how you can dress mac up or down, and no matter what, it'll always be a bowl of deliciousness.
