Friday Finds: 4.20.18

Posted April 20, 2018 by Stephanie

Happy Friday! The weather has been getting increasingly nicer and as a result, my mood has been getting increasingly more and more positive. I’m forever affected by light levels so I’m so incredibly happy that it’s getting sunnier and springier! We are STILL in the process of moving, which is good and bad. It’s pretty luxurious to not have to move everything in one day or a matter of hours, but at the same time our place is a mess with boxes and things everywhere. I’ve moved most of the kitchen over so that means we’ve been eating a lot of noodles, which is not a bad thing :)

Anyway, I’m looking forward to taking a break from packing and moving this weekend. Hopefully there will be some long walks and sunshine.

Here’s what I’ve been peeping on on the internets.

Webstuff:

  1. What it’s like to work at the Museum of Ice Cream. Which I’ve never been to but would love to visit!
  2. The National Pie Competition sounds intense and amazing.
  3. Is pasta good for you? Barilla thinks so.
  4. DAMN. Kendrik Lamar won a Pulitzer Prize for his album DAMN. I love that album!
  5. Disney is taking on Netflix.
  6. The Salt-Bae diet.
  7. Killer vacation mystery.
  8. Dinosaurs in China.
  9. This made me LOL: Bruno Mars threw a towel at a Japanese fan in exasperation and she thought it was a gift.
  10. There’s a meteor shower this weekend :)
  11. Too many men!!

Link Love:

  1. These noodles look absolutely AMAZING.
  2. Deep-fried perogies on sticks? Pierogi corndogs?!?! YES!
  3. I think I could eat a whole batch of this cucumber avocado salad.
  4. One day I need to make puff pastry at home. No shortcuts, just straight up puff pastry.

I’ve got my eyes on you:

  1. We currently have this combo garbage can recycler but it doesn’t really fit in our new space so we’re looking for something that can fit underneath the sink but everything is kind of unattractive. We might get this? UGH who knew that garbage solutions were so limited. What kind of garbage/recycling bins do you have?
  2. Looking for a mini food processor situation. This one looks good but to be honest, I’ve never owned a food processor. Any favorites that aren’t huge?

Lately on I am a Food Blog:

  1. Mike made roast chicken and it was juicy and delicious and I almost wanted to eat the whole thing myself.
  2. If you want to see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo, here are the best places to see him!
  3. These Moroccan donuts are thicc and chewy and SO good.
  4. If you’re a coffee lover, check out some of the goods I found that I love :)

Have a happy Friday and weekend!
dumplings and noodles,
xoxo steph
