Happy Friday Friends! Mike and I just came back from a little getaway – we went to the tip of an island in the Pacific Northwest where there was nothing but ocean and sand and trees. The internet was spotty at best, which made me realize that I am completely addicted to it…oops? I’m going to try to wean myself off a little bit, if I can. I really doubt that though, so on to this week’s finds!

Webstuff:
1. R. Kelly’s confessions.
2. I kind of sort of want to live on a farm.
3. I’m definitely going to check this out on Netflix this weekend.
4. Lev Grossman’s Magicians trilogy is being made into a TV show. I remember the first book being pretty intense. I wonder if it’ll translate well.
5. I’ve mentioned Young House Love before. They seem like they’re back into blogging, a bit, but them quitting was a big deal.
6. I need to go to Taiwan so I can die of cuteness.
7. Green onions were absurdly expensive at the store the other day. It’s El Nino’s fault.
8. This was a particularly fascinating New Yorker profile. She sounds amazing!

Link Love:
1. My kinda tapas party.
2. Give me ALL the miso chocolate chip cookies!
3. These clementine cream sodas look perfect for brightening up dreary winter days.
4. This rice porridge with caramelized cinnamon plums looks absolutely gorgeous.
5. I think I could eat a whole dozen of these sweet cheese puffs.
6. I have a thing for ricotta cakes and this one is calling my name.

I’ve got my eyes on you:
1. These cloud candles are the cutest!
2. Speaking of candles, I like lighting these guys and pretending that I just cleaned house.

Hope your weekend is filled with adventure!
love & potatoes,
xoxo Steph

I read that interview/article on R. Kelly last night. Kind of wild, bizarre, sad etc etc. Anytime I read or hear something related to him now though, I can’t un-hear Aziz Ansari singing “I said Roooooobert” in my head :D

I love green onions and the fact that prices on them are stupidly high for no reason is just a little sad until one day I made a life changing discovery! When I was cooking with the bf, I held up what was left of my green onions (about 2 inches from the bottom) and went “Aren’t these roots? Can’t we technically stick them in the dirt and they’ll grow, I mean it already have roots!” That was probably 6 months ago, those things I swear grow like weeds, now we’re constantly trying to find things to put them in. In case you wanted to be a little bit rebellious, you can grow your own green onions :)

  8. Breanne says:

They will grow in water…on your windowsill, as well.

  9. clee says:

Good luck with World of Tomorrow… It’s only 15 min long, but I think I only made it to minute 9!
