I love all food, so it’d be hard for me to choose a favourite, but I have a soft spot for noodles, bacon, potatoes and breakfast foods. Hmm…noodle, bacon potato omelette, anyone?

  2. my goodness, you are a great photographer — professional quality. Tell me you are using more than a point and shoot. Your depth of field says SLR and some of your hues look like they may be done in ‘post’. I can’t see tell tale lighting but I don’t see how you can be doing your work without. Now, I just need time to try your recipes!

    • You are amazing and brilliant! Prior to stumbling into your “i am a food blog”, I’d go on the internet, look at the pictures of food and analyze them. Like you, I’d say, “I can do this”. Seeing your recipe for paella finally challenged me to prove if I could back up my favorite phrase, “I can do this”. I had to get a paella pan and the right ingredients (saffron,pimiento, etc) and once I did, there was no turning back. Needless to say, I had to do a test run before I prepared one for the party. Like I usually say when I saw your beautiful photo of the paella, “I can do this”, and everyone walked away impressed with my kitchen creation. Thank you.

  75. I saw the porchetta on I make a pork roast annually on new year’s day for a family get together. This year I decided to do the porchetta. It sure was a lot of work but boy was it worth it. The skin came out like leather – I think I had it in there too long at the end. No matter, the rest was fantastic!! Loved by everyone. I think I am going to try each of your recipes. Please post more!!

    For me, the love of food and cooking isn’t new, but the technology really, really is. I’ve been googling like crazy to find a wordpress plugin that allows me to have something like the layout you use for your recipe gallery page. What’s the name of the one you’re using?

    Also, did you have to change the css code the have your logo where the title would be?

  115. I just came across your blog a week ago and I love it. My boyfriend and I used your recipe for paella for our New Years Eve dinner. We tweaked it a bit by removing the chicken and chicken stock and using Spanish chorizo, white sea bass and a mix of veggie and fish stock; of course we kept the shrimp and clams.
