  • 1.5 lbs spare ribs cut into sections
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 6-8 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • pepper to taste
  • toasted sesame seeds optional

  • Heat the oven to 450°F.
  • Cut the spare ribs into individual ribs. Season with salt and pepper and put everything in a ziplock bag with the cornstarch and shake to coat. Alternatively, toss everything in a big bowl, coating evenly.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with oil. Arrange the pork ribs on the sheet and bake for 40 minutes, flipping the ribs halfway through.
  • When there’s about five minutes left on the ribs, Heat up a touch of oil over medium heat in a large nonstick pan (big enough to hold the ribs). Add the garlic and cook, until soft but not brown. Add the honey, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons water. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • When the ribs are done and the sauce is bubbling, add the ribs to the pan and toss to coat. Enjoy hot!
