- 1.5 lbs spare ribs cut into sections
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 6-8 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- pepper to taste
- toasted sesame seeds optional
Heat the oven to 450°F.
Cut the spare ribs into individual ribs. Season with salt and pepper and put everything in a ziplock bag with the cornstarch and shake to coat. Alternatively, toss everything in a big bowl, coating evenly.
Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with oil. Arrange the pork ribs on the sheet and bake for 40 minutes, flipping the ribs halfway through.
When there’s about five minutes left on the ribs, Heat up a touch of oil over medium heat in a large nonstick pan (big enough to hold the ribs). Add the garlic and cook, until soft but not brown. Add the honey, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons water. Bring to a gentle simmer.
When the ribs are done and the sauce is bubbling, add the ribs to the pan and toss to coat. Enjoy hot!
