It’s full on comfort food season now that November is here. Chilly days and cozy nights means that it’s time to stay in and fatten up. You still have 23 days to decide on what you’re going to be making for Turkey day and I have a HUGE list of things that I’m hoping will make your cut. Plus, I’m including some best-overs recipes because the best part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers, am I right? Are you a leftovers lover too? And more importantly, what are you making for Thanksgiving this year?
Mains:
Hot Roast Turkey – Kind of like a rotisserie style turkey, with cayenne, paprika, onion and garlic!
Vietnamese Turkey 5 Ways – A full on Vietnamese feast featuring turkey in 5 different dishes: lemongrass green onion breast and thighs, turkey salad with herbs, crispy grilled turkey skin, deep-fried imperial turkey spring rolls, and lemongrass turkey meatball skewers. If you make this, can I come?!
Turducken Roulade – For those times when you want turducken but a whole turkey, duck, and chicken seem like just a little too much, this roulade is perfect! I loved it and you will too.
Lemongrass Braised Turkey Leg – If you making a lil Thanksgiving for two, this braised turkey leg is just what you need. So tender and full of flavor.
Bone-in Roast Beef – Because sometimes you want beef, instead of turkey!
Carolina Style Ribs with Sichuan Peppercorn – Maybe ribs will be on the menu?! These guys are sticky, sweet, and incredibly addictive.
Sides:
Miso Mashed Potatoes – Creamy dreamy miso butter mashed potatoes.
Crispy Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes – The crispiest roast potatoes ever.
Roasted Potatoes with Burrata – Roast potatoes made even better with lemon, flat leaf parsley, and BURRATA.
Pan-Roasted Honey Garlic Brussel Sprouts – A quick pan sear gives these sprouts their color and a honey and garlic situation gives them ALL the flavor.
Lemon and Dill Brussel Sprouts – Fast, fresh, and easy. These caramelized sprouts are tossed with fresh dill and lemon zest for an addictive win.
Mushroom, Rosemary & Thyme Challah Stuffing – Challah if you love stuffing because I do! All the classic stuffing (or dressing, if that’s what you call it) flavors with challah instead of plain old bread.
Miso Dijon Green Bean Salad – Just in case you want to up your green bean game this year.
Sriracha Roasted Cauliflower – Because roasted cauliflower is delicious and sriracha even more so :)
Quinoa Salad with Hazelnuts, Apple and Dried Cranberries – I love this mix of quinoa with toasty hazelnuts, crisp apples and dried cranberries.
All right, I’m out hope you guys have lots of ideas on what to make! I’m gonna go play with our Instant Pot. I’m obsessed with it :)
Happy first day of November!
