friday links - www.iamafoodblog.com

It’s Friday! It feels like it’s been a particularly long week so I’m pretty excited about the weekend. On Wednesday I was preheating the oven for pizza and of course, the fire alarm went off. Usually when this happens I’ll wave a dish cloth near the alarm and it’ll stop beeping at me, but this time around the entire building’s alarm went off! I thought it was me, but when we finally made it down all those flights of stairs (so many, many flights) we found out it was a false alarm. When we made it back upstairs I figured it was the perfect day to make pizza – if the alarm did go off, it wouldn’t be because of me.

Other than that, it was thankfully uneventful. On Wednesday Mike and I had an extra cozy night of watching Top Chef and having hot pot. It was a super cozy night in and I’m looking forward to many more this winter.

3. I’m definitely going to be crocheting this soon.
4. I am so, so, so, so, so, excited to watch this!

Link Love:

1. Glorious double chocolate muffins.
2. These banana bread cinnamon buns look insanely good.
3. Spicy, slippery, rice ribbons – the noodles of my dreams.
4. I could eat this arroz con pollo every single day and be happy.
5. Everything in life should be mini, just like these perfectly mini chicken pot pies.
6. Soup in a hand pie!
7. I have a thing for sweet and salty oatmeal cookies.
8. The most gorgeous photos of overnight oats I’ve ever seen.

Have a lovely weekend folks! I’m off to the FBC 2014 Conference. It’s my first and I’m nervous-excited! What are you guys up to?
xoxo Steph

PS – I had a couple of features up around this week: I’m on Vitamin Daily, my toolbox is featured on Free Agency, I made dumplings for USPS stamps, and the lovely Jess featured me on little small shop!

I just stumbled upon your blog and your awesome acorn squash lasagna recipe. Eager to try!! I’ve never tried acorn in a lasagna before so I’m bursting with excitement (ok, overkill). Looks sooooo marvelously good. Sorry about the fire alarm and your pizza in all. I had a fire alarm go off in college with my green facial cleansing mask on!! Hmmm, no dates for me that weekend!! So embarrassing =)
