I love dressing up food as cute things – in another life I’d want to be a full time bento maker that just makes super cute Japanese food all the time. There’s a really intense kyaraben/charaben world out there where people make elaborate character bentos and if I were more patient, I would totally try my hand at it. The only character bentos I’ve ever tried making were all Totoro themed because I love that giant furry magical cat but maybe one day…

Here’s a list of some super cute, totally doable cute Totoro foods to make this Halloween!

It’s Fall which means the convergence of two great things: Totoro and pumpkins. Fluffy Starbucks copycat pumpkin scones forever!

How to Make a Totoro Cream Cheese Bagel | www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Bagels
If you want THE EASIEST Totoro food to make, ever, make these Totoro cream cheese bagels. It’s simple: toast your favorite bagel, spread on a cream cheese belly, then add in all the details.

totoro soot sprite chocolate sparkle cookies - www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Soot Sprite Cookies
These gluten free chocolatey almond cookies are seriously some of my faves. They taste like a chocolate truffle in a cookie and they have a crispy chewy outside and an almost molten chocolatey inside. Make them even if you don’t want them to look like cute little soot sprites – they just that good.

Totoro Pancake Art
This is a super cute and easy pancake art tutorial. You can use whatever your favorite pancake batter is, pop it into a squeeze bottle and go to town. Gotta admit, I’d be pretty happy if all the pancakes I ate looked like this.

pumpkin cheesecake totoros - www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars
What is it about cheesecake that is so good?! It’s almost the perfect dessert, amiright? Unbelievably, it can get even better when you add in pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. This is a cheesecake bar recipe (so much easier than making a regular cheesecake, in my opinion) sliced up and then decorated to look like little Totoros. It’s a winner!

totoro inari sushi recipe - www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Inari Sushi
Do you like inari? That sushi made out of that sweet and savory little deep-fried tofu pouch? They’re not as popular as all the other sushi out there, but I love them. And I love them even more when they’re shaped like cute little Totoros. Almost too cute to eat!

pumpkin totoro whoopie pies tutorial - www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Pumpkin Whoopie Pies
Are you familiar with whoopie pies? They’re little cake-like cookies sandwiching a fluffy frosting middle. They’re snacks and delicious and I absolutely love them. I made a pumpkin version here with a sweet mascarpone frosting filling and they are plush and so good to bite into. Eyes, a nose, whiskers, and a powdered sugar belly turned these guys into Totoros.

Totoro Pull-Apart Buns - www.iamafoodblog.comTotoro Pull Apart Buns
These are the FLUFFIEST, softest, most squishiest buns I have ever made. I love them so much: their little white powdered sugar bellies and their little ears. If you love bread, these guys are for you.
Make em if you love bread and you love yourself.

There it is! Hope you guys are getting your cute on this halloween!
