Woah, would you look at that – it’s 10-10 today! You know that whole golden birthday thing where if your birthday is on, say the 16th and you’re turning 16, it’s a big celebration? My golden birthday was when I turned 10, but I didn’t know what golden birthdays were back then and neither did my parents and I missed out. So now I get excited when the date and month match up. I know, I know, I’m super nerdy.

“Golden October” day aside, how was your week? I met up with some friends, planned out my Canadian thanksgiving (so excited!), and got myself psyched up for all things fall.

Webstuff:

1. You can now make cronuts at home!
2. I whole-heartedly agree with this.
3. If I were in Amsterdam, I’d totally go to this potato pop-up shop.
4. Everything I’ve ever felt while eating gummy bears.
5. This is the kind of writing I’m in love with.

Link Love:

1. Fall means apple cider donuts.
2. These red velvet cakies!
3. I love a good shepherd’s pie and this one is crazy amazing.
4. I think I need some pumpkin Belgian waffles in my life.
5. Maple & sea salt buttermilk biscuits!
6. THIS! I need (NEED) it in my life.

Have an awesome weekend friends!
xoxo Steph

PS – The foliage in Japan is on point. The lead photo up there is one I took last year. I’m still dreaming of those leaves.
PPS – For my Canadian friends, if you’re looking for Turkey dishes, try these guys out: turkey shepherd’s pie, baked turkey tenders, or turkey parmesan meatballs!

  10. Totally thought the photo was taken at UBC, it looks just like that around this time.

It’s funny that for Thanksgiving (and Christmas, too), my family purposely avoids turkey. Like, we never ever have turkey. This years Thanksgiving is going to be italian! Homemade pumpkin and sage ravioli is on the menu, along with focaccia and salami. You know, just like every other normal family’s Thanksgiving…. Ha!
