Friday Finds: 3.8.19

Posted March 8, 2019 by Stephanie

What the what it’s one week into March already!? Daylight savings is this weekend?!?! Where does all my time go? Oh wait, I know, I watch an excessive amount of Netflix and also spend most of my time working. Still, I can’t believe it is March already. I’m ready for Pie Day and St Patrick’s Day and most importantly, I’m ready for Spring! This weekend is looking very spring-full what with all the rain showers that are in the forecast. But, I have plans to make a Guinness chocolate loaf and some mini deep dish apple pies so I’m excited.

Other plans include: doing mindless things, going on long walks, and being a potato. V exciting stuff, I know. Anyway, here’s what I’ve been peeping at on the internet.

Webstuff:

  1. I love diner mugs with all my heart.
  2. Sometimes it’s okay if hobbies are just hobbies, not hustles, you know?
  3. A literal cheese book – made of cheese!
  4. I love how these two friends write books together that end up on the NYT’s bestsellers list.
  5. Isn’t it insane how kids these days will never know what it was like to live life without it being documented online? In the same vein, this short movie about growing up these days…intense.
  6. Walking helps us think.

Link Love:

  1. Oh hello fluffy pillows of deep fried deliciousness filled with creamy vanilla custard!
  2. These chili and cheese buttermilk biscuits are on my to make list.
  3. I love coconut buns. Maybe they are in my future?

I’ve got my eyes on you:

  1. This book was so intriguing. I have conflicted feelings about it, especially the ending. I don’t know if it’s something that I recommend or not, but I also really want to read the companion novels so maybe I like it?
  2. I have no idea why, but I really want this plush potato. Actually I know exactly why. It’s because I love potatoes and how cute is a weird lil stuffed plush potato!?
  3. My winter skin has been begging for moisture – looking into these face masks, but I don’t know if they’re any good. The reviews look promising.

Lately on I am a Food Blog:

  1. Super easy, super weeknight Thai food. YAAAASSS.
  2. Instant Pot teriyaki chicken for those days when you need a meal in 10 minutes.
  3. Small batch Japanese cheesecake because it’s SO FLUFFY!
  4. Make miso soup, the right way.
  5. And, if you’re a super fan, check out the all recipes page :)

Have a wonderful weekend friends! Hope you go for a walk!
xoxo steph
