friday finds - www.iamafoodblog.com

It’s a new year and I’m bringing back Friday Finds! I fell off the Friday Finds wagon for a while there when I was traveling, but it’s back, baby! Speaking of traveling, I should really put up some of the photos I took because it was an amazing trip.

Speaking of amazing, the other day I spent a good five minutes laughing with tears streaming down my face. I’m so lucky to have a husband who knows how to make me laugh. Out of the blue, Mike decided to see if he could still do the whole catch food in his mouth thing. Since we were eating chocolate espresso pillows at the time, he just started catching them in his mouth. Of course, I had to try too, but I wasn’t as successful, which was somewhat (okay, a lot) hilarious to me. I really really wanted to be able to do it but I was also scared of the chocolate pelting my face. I laughed so hard my tummy hurt – it was a good day.

After that of course I looked up how to catch food in your mouth and came across these two gems: Fritz, the dog vs. humans. Lest you think I spend all my time trying to catch food in my mouth or looking up funny videos, here are my other links for the week!

Webstuff:
1. Sometimes I like to procrastinate by reading about procrastination.
2. These gorgeous watercolors make me miss Japan something fierce.
3. Fame doesn’t equal fortune, especially social media fame.
4. The secret subversive past of adult coloring books.
5. For the record, I prefer emoji to emojis.
6. Modern day set-ups.
7. Major potato skin cravings.

Link Love:
1. A chicken and egg food hug: oyakodon.
2. Avocados forever, especially with carrot-ginger dressing.
3. Peanut butter & jelly cookies.
4. I’m all about the roasted broccoli bowls and am super interested in that sauce.
5. Super-seed (for health) pancakes (for fun).
6. These tacos and this cutie’s podcast.
7. I’m down for some panettone waffle french toast!

I’ve got my eyes on you:
1. This show looks good! Have any of you watched it? I’m obsessed with dystopian futures so it looks right up my alley.
2. This cauliflower holder!
3. I just ordered this book and absolutely cannot wait to dig in. Obviously I’ve got Japan on my brain.

Hope you laugh so hard this weekend your tummy hurts!
love & potatoes,
xoxo Steph
