It’s been just over a year since I conceptualized, cooked, tested, styled, and shot all the recipes in Easy Gourmet. I’ve been skirting around it for a while now, but THE DAY IS COMING (September 2nd!!) and I want to tell you all about it! Maybe you’ve seen Easy Gourmet on my Instagram or maybe you’ve even preordered (if you have, thank you from the bottom of my heart!) but if you haven’t, I just wanted to take some time to tell you what’s inside.
Easy Gourmet has nine chapters and ninety-nine recipes – I have a thing for nines. 90% of the recipes are new and the ones I have included from the blog have been tweaked slightly to make them even tastier and easier to follow. Every recipe has a full page photo that I styled and shot myself.
The chapters are as follows: Breakfast, Pasta & Rice, Meats, Seafood, Vegetables, Soups & Stews, Sandwiches, Snacks, and Dessert. The recipes are the kind that I’m hoping you’ll make again and again and again. There are some classics like a really, really good lasanga and some new classics like miso glazed cod and tofu fries.
I am so in love with it and can’t wait until you guys fall in love too! Fun fact – I got to design the entire book, including the layout and cover. The result is almost like I am a Food Blog has leapt out of the screen into the real world.
I feel like I love the entire book, but I have to mention: I am super in love with the end pages. I’ve always had a thing for end pages and ever since I got to design my own, I’ve been even more obsessed.
I’m nervous and happy and all the crazy feelings. But mostly I’m thankful. Thank you dear readers for coming back again and again to my corner of the internet. You have no idea how much it means to me. I wish we could all eat chicken wings together and get awkward because in real life, I’m just as awkward as they get.
PS – Don’t you love the stump in the lead image!? I’m so in LOVE! (It’s from West Elm, in case you’re curious).
